C'est Magnifique ! - C'est Formidable ! - Le Ratae Rouleur An Quatre

The 'Ratae Rouleur'  -  Sunday the 8th of October
Signing In :-   8.45 am for 40 mile   //   9.15 am for 25 mile
 
HQ will be Age UK, Paddock Street, Wigston.  LE18 2AN.  ( Free car park opposite HQ )
 
A 'Reliability / Sportif' style event featuring 25 mile and 40 mile routes, for riders of all abilities, but also aimed at encouraging new and less experienced riders to challenge themselves on a Club organised, cycle event.
It is open for all to ride, whether members of a Cycling Club or not.
1.   The 25 mile ( actual 24.4m ) is :-  Wigston - Newton Harcourt - Great Glen - Burton Overy - Illston on the Hill - Noseley - Goadby - Glooston - Tur Langton - Kibworth - Wistow - Wigston.  A picturesque route taking in 'Le Goadby Grand Mur' and 'Le Cote de Cheval' - both are short and interesting climbs.

2.   The 40 mile ( actual 40.5m ) is :- Wigston - Kilby - Fleckney - Saddington - Gumley - Lubbenham - East Farndon - Clipston - Naseby - Sibbertoft - Husbands Bosworth - Walton - Bruntingthorpe - Peatling Magna - Foston - Wigston.  A route with varying gradients and open views, crossing the site of The Battle of Naseby, 1645.

Printed route guides will be available at the HQ when signing in.
A crew will be contactable by mobile phone during the event, for support on mechanical or other issues.
Under 16's must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.   The wearing of Helmets is advised.
The entry will be £5.00, to include an energy gel worth £1.25.
Refreshments will be available at the HQ, which is open until 1.00pm.
