Rear Light Fitting on TT Bikes - 'The Answer'

With the trend towards aero tubes and seatposts on TT bikes the problem has always been fitting a rear light and then getting it to point directly back down the road, as the modern LED lights require, to be fully effective.

Cateye have just introduced a new rear light mount that answers the problem by fitting to the seat rails in a similar fashion to many seat packs.  The mount is then adjustable to enable the light to point horizontally to the rear.

The model reference for the part is RM-1 and the Cateye part number 5446510.  It cost about £9.99 and is compatible with the LD 600/610 series and Rapid 3 and 5 lights, ie. - it has the square 'clip in and out' fitting that enables the light to be mounted vertically or horizontally.

I have fitted one to mine and it works !
